ARTIST NOTE

The fish is a symbol of abundance and illumination, plenitude, and deep psyche.  The fish is Christo Rey, Jesus.  Jesus is the pure invocation, the transcender of time, miracle worker, and totality in transformation, the redeemer of renewal.  Jesus as father, brother, son, friend, God; when you know him, you know his love, and so the symbol of the fish can be transpired into the symbol of loving him.  When I combine the fish with flowers I am uniting the divine masculine with the divine feminine.  

The spirit and connection are the love made holy within the trinity of the temple within.  Jesus teaches in parables that the symbol of the fish and the symbol of flower are virtuous embodiments of humility, healing, enlightenment, empowerment, and triumphant transformation of the human, body, mind, and soul, understanding its pure positive energy to create and become that which we are.
